Leader of Louisville Dystonia Group of the Dystonia Association of Kentucky Gets Top Honor

Congratulations to Sandra Lee Isaacs, Leader of the Louisville Kentucky Dystonia Support Group and Founder of the Dystonia Association of Kentucky, for her nomination by the Governing Board of Editors of the American Biographical Institute for the prestigious title WOMAN OF THE YEAR - 2006.  The ABI Board continually researches the achievements of men and women from around the world and most are recognized in the Institute's internationally-acclaimed who's who publication.  Sandy was commended for her level of accomplishment that was highlighted in the International Who's Who of Professional and Business Women.  Occasionally, the Board finds other individuals deserving of such top honors as WOMAN OF THE YEAR.  The task of choosing such a group from around the world is overwhelming to say the least.  The Institute is assisted in its research through personal recommendations from the ABI Research Board of Advisors, a panel of 10,000 influential members living in as many as 75 countries.  They also receive nominations for high accolades from business leaders, university staffs, organizational officers, government officials, and media executives from around the world.

OTHER GROUPS NEWS:

Somerset Kentucky Support Group Leader Recipient of DMRF 2005 Courage Award

Donna Faye Rose, Leader of the Somerset Dystonia Support Group is one of the proud recipients of the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation's 2005 Courage Award.  This group is a new group but they are making their mark in their area.  During Dystonia Awareness Week they were instrumental in enlisting the help of their local Walmart store by wearing dystonia awareness ribbons to promote awareness and education.  Of course, it always helps if your mother is an employee of the store.  Nonetheless, they are a strong group and are doing a great job.  Keep up the good work, and congratulations Donna for the great leadership.

The Somerset Support Group is selling handmade American Flag and UK pins made from beads and safety pins.  The pins sell for $3.00 each and all the proceeds go to support local group activities.    These pins make wonderful stocking stuffers or are great for birthdays and other holidays.  Orders must be placed by December 17, 2005 to receive them before Christmas.

If you would like to place an order for one of these pins, please contact Donna Rose, Group Leader at 606-451-2132 or you can email her at dfrose@windstream.net.
